Subscriptions
What an IPTV subscription actually buys
Four terms, one channel list, one connection by default. The differences between subscription plans are smaller than most providers imply — here is what changes as the price rises, and what does not.
One catalogue, four terms
A subscription here is not a menu of channel packs. Every term opens the same thing: the live channel list, the on-demand library, the guide, catch-up and support. What you are choosing between is duration and, separately, how many people can watch at once.
That is worth stating plainly because the market is full of invented tiers — silver, gold, premium — that differ only in how much of the same list they unlock. If a provider will not tell you what the cheapest tier is missing, assume it is the channels you want.
The four terms and what they cost per month
| Term | Total | Per month | Per day | Saving vs monthly |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 month | $12 | $12 | $0.39 | — |
| 3 months | $25 | $8.33 | $0.27 | 31% |
| 6 months | $40 | $6.67 | $0.22 | 44% |
| 12 months | $65 | $5.42 | $0.18 | 55% |
The monthly plan is the honest starting point: it is the most expensive per month and the cheapest to leave. Longer terms trade flexibility for a lower rate. If you are unsure, take one month, because a twelve-month subscription you stop using in month two is worse value than three monthly ones you finish.
Connections are counted at the same time
This is the part of a subscription that causes the most arguments. A connection is a stream being watched right now — not a device with the app installed, and not a login stored on a phone. Install the app on five devices and you are within the rules until two of them play at once.
| Connections | Cost on the 12-month term | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | $65 | One room watching at a time |
| 2 | $123.50 | Two televisions, or a phone while the main room plays |
| 3 | $182 | A household with children and a second screen |
Each additional connection is the plan price less 10%, on every term. There is no separate "multiroom" product to buy.
Activation, delivery and the first five minutes
After payment, two values arrive: the M3U URL and the Xtream Codes login. Either works on its own. Paste one into your player and the channel list appears; the guide fills in behind it. The Fire Stick and Smarters guides cover the two most common setups step by step, including the errors people hit on the first attempt.
Renewal means buying again, not being charged again
There is no stored card and no recurring charge. When a term ends the login stops working and the subscription is over. If you want to continue, you buy another term — and by then you will know whether it is worth it, which is the point.
Check this before subscribing anywhere
Ask what happens on the last day. "It renews automatically" and "you will be reminded to renew" are different answers. A subscription that renews itself without a reminder is a subscription you have to remember to cancel.
What a subscription does not include
- Hardware — no box is shipped, and none is needed if your television or stick has an app store.
- An internet connection — 10 Mbps is enough for HD, 25 Mbps for 4K, 50 Mbps for 8K.
- A VPN — not required, and not a fix for a slow line. It is a privacy tool, not a performance one.
- Rights to content — availability depends on the region you are in and can change without notice.
How to judge the price you are being quoted
Divide the total by the number of months and compare that number, not the headline. A "$70 for the year" offer and a "$65 for twelve months" offer are the same thing within a rounding error; a "$29 per month" that renews every month is $348 a year. Then check what a second connection costs, because a subscription that needs two is not the price on the banner.
Questions about this
What is included in an IPTV subscription?
The full channel list, the on-demand film and series library, the seven-day EPG, catch-up on channels that support it, and 24/7 support. There is no tiering — the four terms differ only in how long they run, not in what they unlock.
Is there a contract or a minimum term?
No contract. You buy a term, it runs, and it expires. Nothing renews itself and there is no cancellation process, because there is nothing to cancel. If you want another term later you buy another term.
Can I share one subscription across several people?
Only as far as your connection count allows. Every subscription includes 1 simultaneous stream. A second costs the plan price less 10% — $58.50 on the 12-month term — and each further one the same. Separate households usually need their own subscription, because the streams are counted at the same moment, not per device installed.
Why do longer terms cost less per month?
Because the work is front-loaded: provisioning, support onboarding and payment handling happen once, so a twelve-month term costs less to serve than twelve monthly ones. The saving is passed on — the annual plan is the cheapest per month, and the monthly plan is the most expensive.
What happens if the service does not work on my device?
Support works through the player configuration first, because that resolves most cases. If it cannot be made to work within 48 hours of purchase, the payment is refunded in full. Change of mind after activation is not covered — the trial exists so that decision is made before paying.
